An exceptional situation for this charming hotel located in a small peaceful street, between the garden of Tuileries, the Louvre and Orsay museums and place Vendôme, in the heart of historical Paris, and also in the area of business and shopping.
The hotel occupies an authentic residence of the XVIII century, which was the property of Marie-antoinette's lady in waiting, the queen stayed there with Louis XVI.
This private mansion was restored with taste around a modern patio, real well of light. Each of the 26 rooms and the 6 apartments have a particular sophisticated atmosphere, furnished with carpets, paintings and antiques...everything have been made to respect the spirit of the place.
The ancient charm is combined with modern comfort in the form of air conditioning, mini bars, safety deposit boxes, cable TV in the rooms. The marble bathrooms have bath, separated toilets, and hair dryers.
In the basement, the ancient ceiling arch shelters a breakfast room, and on the ground floor there is a small lounge where welcoming armchairs and a sofa provide a true feeling of intimacy in this heaven of quietness.

The hotel and staff were generally very good with two exceptions.
Your hotel is NOT a silent hotel. The street noise from businesses made it very difficult to sleep. And, the wait staff made an unacceptable error on our bill, charging us for two people on the first morning for breakfast. However, only ONE person had coffee, not even breakfast. We explained this to the clerk on the last day, checking out, and he ignored us.

This was a very nice little hotel in a good location for our needs. We only stayed one night. The staff were all very pleasant and helpful. It really worked out well. I thought the price was reasonable. It was what I would hope for a 3-star property.
