It was nearly 40 degrees and we had to sleep with wet towels it was that hot and stuffy in the room - our accomodation put a downper on our Paris trip. Every guest was complaining and wanted to move and even the poor staff were drenched in sweat whilst working on Reception. For this hotel to be part of a chain, it was inhumane to not provide airconditioning to staff and guests in these conditions and Management should be doing something about it.

Nice hotel on a fairly quiet side street, handy to the metro. The room was very cramped, and the view was of the back fire escape and a concrete wall, but the bathroom had a great shower and was spotless. Breakfast (included) was substantial by Continental standards, and the front desk staff were very helpful. Good value for money.

My husband and I spent 6 nights at the New Hotel Candide. We really enjoyed our stay. The rooms were very clean. The breakfast was fantastic and the staff was very helpful. I would definitely recommend this hotel. The only drawback would be that it is not air conditioned so in summer it must be quite hot.

While the room was a bit lacking in style and the hallways were painted an unflattering canary yellow I was delighted by the superb and friendly service. If after checking in you have even a slight reservation I am sure that the morning breakast will do away with it. I am a big morning eater and appreciated the size and diversity of the meal. Also the bathrooms are larger than the European standard. I'll be staying at Candide again.

Hotel New Candide quite pleasant and liveable. Everything very clean and recently renovated. Room small but complete with lovely bath tub. There are hotels in Paris in the same class with more gemutlicheit or romance. But this is nice for tourism and I like the Leon Blum -- Voltaire neighborhood very much. They were very nice about setting out breakfast at 5 am and arranging cab when I had a plane to catch.

Location excellent (nearby metro station Voltaire, bus station). Hotel and room was clean, staff friendly, bufet breakfast very good. What was not good were very thin walls so you hear what your neighbourhood are doing. We had luck on very quiet neighbourhood.

It´s a pleasure answer yuor questions.
I've stayed at New Candide Hotel for 9 nights with my wife in standard room with double bed.
About the staff was very polite and gave me many advices for places in Paris, but unfortunately not every staff people was able to speak english or spanish in a understood way.
The breakfast was excelent and also the quality and quantity of the products, but there was not many options in terms of products.
The only restriction I have to this hotel is the size of the room, extremely small and the the very bad acustic insulation. The staff disturb at night 12:00 p.m. when a was talking to my children in Brazil(7:00 p.m. in Brazil). According to them I was speakin aloud and the neighbors was claiming. It was not true i was simply talking to my daugthers.
Certainly I would come back to this hotel, because of the honest rate they kept. It was the best price a I had for this category of hotel, with a breakfast included.It was 83,00 euros the diary.
Give my best regards to all the staaf personel.

We stayed 4 nigths. Hotel was acceptable, rooms were
quite small (double) and not airconditioned, bathroom was also very small. The staff was very helpful thus the restaurant recommendations could been better. The breakfast was very good in French level and also the
service was fine. The room was cleaned every day but
in that they could have done better. Location is good
due to Metro, but you need to change nearly always. The metro takes about 20 minutes to city centre including the change. If I visit Paris in future and
yet in summer time I probably will take a hotel with
air condition, otherwise this could suite as well.

The complimentary breakfast was very nice. After travelling in Europe and stayed at
various hotels, i must say your hotel offers the best breakfast and service. I stayed at
New Hotel for 2 nights, we booked one double room. The bed was very comfy, very much
like home. Everything is clean. The service provided by the staff was the best. Most of them
speak english and was able to give us detail directions to attractions in Paris.

We stayed four nights at the hotel. We had one room with twin beds. The room was basic but very clean. The walls could do with painting. The staff were very friendly and helpful. We stayed in the Hotel Candide for 2 nights in a double room. We found the service to be excellent and the breakfast to be very good. The location was grand, with the Voltaire Metro station around the corner you could be at the center of Paris in just 15 mins. The staff were always very helpfull and very nice at all times. Only setback was that we found the room to be very small which was annoying at times but, for the price,service,location and the staff I would definitely recommend it if you are not planning to spend much time at the hotel itself.

My partner and I stayed in the New Hotel Candide for 6 nights. It is a nice hotel but with very little ammenities. The basics were catered for; breakfast, bed, television in room, mini-bar. Unfortunately there are no tea or coffee making facilities in the room, there were also no other meals available besides breakfast which stopped serving at 9.00am.
The staff on reception were always pleasant although the staff in the dining room were not quite so accomodating.
It is situated in a lovely area of Paris, not even a five minute walk to the nearest Metro Station. There are many bars and restaurants in the vicinity. There is a supemarket, fresh fish and vegetable shops, bakeries, wine merchants etc.
The hotel is not exactly a luxury hotel, but we spent as little time there as possible anyway. It suited as a place to leave the luggage and to sleep. It is very clean and well kept, this cannot be denied.
Considering full price is €107.00 for a double room for a night, I don't think this is especially good value considering the lack of ammenities in the hotel. I don't think I would stay there again as I could get the same service in a two star hotel for less money.

This was a fine place to stay; great area with cheese shops, wine shops and patisseries nearby, plus very close to the Metro (although not the most useful train line, we almost always had to transfer at least once). Room was small and hotel a little noisy, but absolutely no problem with earplugs. For the amount we paid (about $75/night) it was a great deal.

the hotel was very nice,in a central area but in a very quiet street.All the people we've met at the reception have been really nice and gave us a lot of details on how to reach famous places and what kind of transport to choose.The room was small (but perfect for us).There was a problem with water coming from the shower through the rug near the door so that part of the floor was always wet and "smelly".The room service wasn't very carefull,they forgot to leave towels a couple of times and they were really noisy in the early morning.Apart from that (I think all these problems are solvable) I will come back and recommend this hotel.

Stayed for 4 nights (4 person family) in 2 rooms (1 double and 1 twin).
Excellent location, extremely close to metro and great bistros. Safe neighbourhood. The establishment was clean and well organised, and the staff were polite and helpful.
Rooms were slightly on the small side, but this was expected.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at New Hotel Candide and would definitely stay there again on any future visit to Paris.

The staffs were nice. The room was very small but it was to be expected. Though the bathroom was okay. The walls should be repainted or clean because it was very worn out and looks kind of dirty. Very close to the Metro and nearby restaurants stayed open until very late. Because of the walls, I didn't think the room worth a 3 stars, but maybe it is just that room.
