Séjour de 2 nuits. Hotel sympa, simple mais de bonne qualité. Chambre petite mais literie confortable. Petit déjeuner à volonté.Bien situé à 10mn de la gare de l'Est et à 10 mn de la Place de la République dans une rue relativement calme.

Cet hôtel est tout fait correct pour un deux étoiles.
Chambre petite mais mobilier neuf, literie de bonne qualité. Salle de bain petite mais opérationnelle.
Chambre au calme. Attention chambre 31 à coté ascenseur!

J'ai été extrêmement déçue par l'hôtel Jardin de Paris République. J'avais réservé 1 chambre double pour 2 nuits.
La chambre était vraiment en mauvais état:
les appliques de chaque côté du lit ne fonctionnaient pas, le plafond était crevé dans la chambre, le lavabo de la salle de bain était bouché, il n'y avait pas de cendrier dans la chambre. En bref minable.
Je réserve fréquement par l'intermédiaire de votre site et je n'avais pas encore été déçue à ce point...

For the second time we used this nice hotel because it is rather close to the train stations Gare du Nord (15 minutes walk) and Gare de l'Est (10 min.), so handy for a stopover in Paris when using TGV/Thalys. The rooms are rather small, but regarding the price and the location, good enough. The hotel is off the main road, and especially the rooms at the back are very quiet. The staff is friendly, speaks very good english and is helpfull. We will probably use this hotel again in future.

I stayed last christmas 3 nights in this hotel. The reception was friendly. Breakfast is ok, abundant in quantity but without a big choice. Quite close to the metro. Very good for the price I paid.

For this price a very clean and nice hotel. The room and the (continental) breakfast were OK for someone who has no high claims. Only the shower in the bathroom was very tight. Sometimes the doors were a little bit loud. Totally I would like to repeat my stay in the hotel. It was perfectually situated to discover the whole city of paris. English was spoken.

WE STAYED AT THE HOTEL FOR FOUR NIGHTS. We had booked one twin and two double rooms but got one double and two twins.
The rooms were small and worn. The enviroment was calm, the communications were okay. The breakfast was goos and the staff was kind. We don´t think we will come back to this hotel again because of the small and shabby rooms.

This hotel was perhaps the worst hotel that I have ever stayed at! The staff were extremely rude to my friend and me. They refused to speak english (saying something about hating people who didn't speak french) and wouldn't even respond to my elementary french. Paris was the first stop on my trip around Europe and it left a bad taste in my mouth because of this hotel. I would never, ever recommend this hotel to anyone and I think that you should take it off of your site. They would not put calls through to our room if the caller didn't speak french. Please don't let anyone else experience the agony that my friend and I did.

We stayed 3 nights at the hotel and found it very well located, with nice service from the staff. The room was ok and I would definitely consider going back, if I needed a cheap option in an excellent area.

5 nights from 14feb04 to 19feb: i booked a double room for 2 persons.Even if i've booked my room 1 month ahead at my arrive they gave me a single room with a large bed without tell me nothing about or apologizing for the mistake.The bed was prepared with 2 pillows: i thought "french beds are very small!". I discover it was a single room reading the fares table on the door.The next morning I asked kindly to change my room with the correct one: when i came back in the evening nothing is changed.So i explain the problem: a new room is assigned to me; when i open the door a little surprise:it's a twin!! i come back to the reception :" i want a double!". "Sorry no other room is available"; ok, so i return in the new room but i discover it's dirty: towels are wet, hairs on the pillows and crumbs on the floor. I come back again to the reception "it't very dirty, we cannot sleep there, no way!!". So an employee goes up with me to check the room; back to the reception "ok, this another new room is certainly clean". I again take my luggages: ok the room is clean but it's a twin!!I can put togheter the two beds but i've booked i double more than one month ago!!
You may immagine that this brings me to a negative feedback. Anyway, these apart, bed covering, towels and bathroom were clean: but don't have a look everywhere!Also i believe bathroom comfort may differ room by room.
A positive thing is certainly the buffet breakfast: the breakfast room is quite small, but is ok; croissants, orange juice, an auto milk/cofee/chocolate machine, yougurt, ham.
Summarizing: a cheap(5 nights = 275 euro)place where to sleep: i spend all the day walking around.....but anyway i don't believe to come back to this hotel.Really i don't know...opsss it's very close to the J. Bonsergent metro line nbr 5 ....i.e. on the same street 50 meters before there a two stars: exposed(!!) fares are less and it seems more comfortable.
My advice is to search another hotel at same price or something more...then let your budget speaks:-)!

le quartier est très agréable et authentique, hôtel assez calme, bons petits restos dans le secteur, et pratique car à côté de la gare de l'est, le tarif tout compris avec le petit-déjeuner est très abordable, on a aimé pouvoir disposé de la chambre à 10heures, à l'arrivée de notre train, et également un bon point pour la consigne gratuite à l'hôtel

I'am stay from 25 - 29 Nov '03 (4 night), single room.
The room is in average for those reasenable price. I like the services from the hotel management,familliar and well informed. Breakfast ala buffet is good and reasonable. Location of the Hotel it's just right, close to the Metro station , easy aksess to the Shopping area or Open tour Line. Hotel staff are familliar. I'll return again to this hotel or recomend to my relative if visit to Paris.

We found the Jardin de Paris Republique hotel to be excellent with polite and friendly bilingual staff. Very warm and quiet which was just the ticket during our "kid free" stay and the continental breakfast ensured that it was great value. Although the hotel is located in the North East of Paris it is ideal for shop browsing and is within 5 minutes walk of three Metro Stations.
Hope to be back very soon.

Overall, the hotel was good, no real problems. Reservation was fine, room fully ready upon arrival. Location was good, 5 mins walk from nearest Metro station, close enough to train stations and off the main road so not too noisy. A few niggling points - bedside lamp broken, burn mark on desk and cleaning staff didn't do very good jobs. Also, the desk staff could have been friendlier - they rarely responded to a 'good day' or 'good evening', except with a glare! Would be happy to use the service and the hotel again, although there are plenty of similarly-priced hotels in the same area.

Good enough value, breakfast buffet is nice - you can actually get enough to eat. The hotel is on a fairly noisy street, for some reason several North African taxi drivers were hanging out in front of the hotel for most of the night talking and laughing very loudly.
As is the norm for European hotels, their replacement policy for mattresses is about once every 20 years instead of a more reasonable 5 years or so.

Nice hotel, room was small but o.k. Reservation was not o.k. because of "problems" with credit card. Same credit card was o.k. when we were there, but room was available, so no problem. Personal was very friendly. Hotel is good to reach with underground. All in all 2 stars worth, we were satisfied.

THE HOTEL WAS GREAT WISHED I HAD STAYED THERE LONGER ONLY HAD ONE NIGHT AS I WAS BOOKED INTO ANOTHER HOTEL IN PARIS, hOTEL HIBISCUS ALSO IN REPUBLIQUE.
THE ROOMS WERE GOOD SHOWER, BATH THE BED AND PILLOWS WERE FINE AND THE STAFF WERE HELPFUL AND LET US STORE OUR BAGS TILL OUR ROOM WAS READY WOULD DEFINATLY STAY THERE AGAIN IF i GO BACK TO PARIS WAS ALSO ONLY ABOUT 100 METERS AWAY FROM METRO STATIOIN AND 12 EURO'S AWAY BY TAXI FROM PARIS EUROLINES BUS TERMINAL.
IT WAS FAR CHAEPER THAN THE OTHER HOTEL I MENTIONED AND 100 PERCENT BETTER

On our arrival we were informed that we could not stay in le Jardin de Paris Republique because of a fault with the fire alarm / electrical system (or that was the excuse anyway) although many other people were collecting room keys from the front desk. Instead we were informed that there were rooms available in Jardin de Paris Alesia Montparnasse - which was the complete opposite side of Paris from where we wanted to be. We were informed by Jardin de Paris Republique receptionist that they had no responsability for our predicament and if we did not take up this offer it would be tough on us. The inconvenience of trying to get a taxi home every evening was horrendous as I'm sure you could well imagine.
The hotel itself was ok but on leaving one of my party was over charged on settling their bill. Three days of breakfast charges were charged to the bill when they were not taken and I would expect that you will refund the credit card imediatly.
The cardholders name was Joanne Burns who stayed in room number 23 (20th - 22nd September).
We had 2 double rooms booked and the staff were amiable. I doubt however that I would go back to the hotel primarily because of its location. Whether or not I would book through your service again depends on the response I get to this email
